Indoya Restaurant is a Thai restaurant serving Northern Thai fusion cuisine. As there were nine of us, the restaurant graciously offered us a nicely decorated room with Thai motifs and designs.
We ordered the characteristic Thai heatwave Tom Yum
Goong, Braised Pork Glow Bowl, Shrimp Pop Omelet, Crispy Belly Gai Lan, Fire
Crab Curry Bomb, Thai Green Curry Chicken and Crab Lava Omelet. The dishes were
served with fragrant pandan rice. Most of the dishes were just okay but the
green curry chicken was a letdown – a bit on the bland side. Perhaps, the cook
was having a bad day. Of course, there were many other dishes that we did not
sample.
Prices were reasonable, service was very good and the plating did enhance the visual appeal of the dishes. In any case, it was a good outing. Many thanks, Chin Han Juan and Mr. and Mrs. Cheah Kam Chiew for taking time to be with us.
